Bio
Roles I have Crystal clear clarity are women Struggling to realize a life transforming dream, or a goal that will change their life forever, and women who offer transformative hope to others.
I am an actor, writer, singer and community organizer living in Brooklyn by way of Amish Country. Upon graduating with a Bachelor’s in Acting and Directing from DeSales University, I advanced through the improv program at the Upright Citizens Brigade, where I also began to develop my niche as a sketch comedy writer. After completing my studies I had a stint as a professional backup vocalist for Jojo Abot, with whom I opened for musicians including Lauryn Hill, Santigold, and Jidenna. In 2017, I decided to focus solely on TV and film after writing my first short, a slice of life entitled Reincarnation, which has since screened at several international film festivals, going on to win “Best Foreign Microshort” at Fort Worth Film Festival in 2018.
I draw inspiration from the dichotomy of our sometimes morbid yet relatable human condition. I see strength in vulnerability and hope in character flaws. Whether portrayed in comedy or drama, or an unconventional combination of both, I use film as a vessel to nudge viewers outside of their comfort zone. My aim in all of my work is to invoke compassion, or if nothing else, to find the light in all things.
